A White Christmas

A White Christmas

The best gift around the
Christmas tree
is the presence of family
wrapped in love

We spent this past week with the Kitching side of our family in snowy Ontario, celebrating a late Christmas. It was a fun trip ..full of laughter, 9-hole golf, Bananagrams, snowball fights, baby Eli snuggles and the cozy feeling of being surrounded by family.

This photo <depicting my caffeine intake for the day> is the only surviving photo taken on our last day with Luke's family. We spent it in the Blue Mountains (a quaint ski town by Beaver River) window shopping and sipping hot drinks.

We enjoyed our visit and it was a treat to see everyone again!

We spent the last day of our Ontario trip in the capital Toronto. We met up with a friend of Luke's from high school and took the train from Pearson Airport to the centre of the city.

Our first stop was Ripleys Aquarium.. where we took many, many, many photos.

Of course seeing all the fascinating aquatic life made us think of sushi :)  So we followed our trusty google maps and ended up at an "ALL YOU CAN EAT" Sushi place. Two words to describe the eating experience there...Too Much :)

The day quickly came to a close and after a stop at Starbucks we made our way back to the train station and the hotel. But not before seeing this random park in between the skyscrapers ..full of cow statues?
